A Step Above Tax & Accounting, LLC delivers accounting and tax preparation services with integrity and objectivity. We take a problem-solving approach to helping our clients with their business and personal financial needs.

Our accounting professionals are federally licensed and are able to represent clients across state lines. Our clients cover the eastern United States including Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.

We provide quality accounting and tax services to our clients while dedicating extensive resources to maintaining and improving our knowledge to help solve our clients’ business tax and accounting needs.

Peggy Bartsch

Peggy Bartsch founded A Step Above Tax and Accounting, LLC in 2009. She has twenty years of Accounting, Tax and Bookkeeping experience working with C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, Non-Profits, and LLCs. She is proficient in QuickBooks, Peachtree, Lacerte, ProSeries, CFS Payroll System, and Microsoft Office software applications.

In 2014 and 2015, Peggy was elected by her peers to serve as Secretary for the Charlotte Chapter of the North Carolina Society of Accountants. Peggy was also elected to Vice President of the North Carolina Society of Accounts for the Charlotte Chapter in 2016 and she is the Chair for the NCSA annual Tax Practitioners’ Forum in Greensboro since 2015.

She attended California State University, Fullerton where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

Her high quality work ethic along with her attention to detail have helped Peggy to become a successful business professional with long-lasting and trusted client relationships.

eaAs a federally licensed Enrolled Agent, the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service, Peggy has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the IRS covering individual and business tax returns.

 

An enrolled agent is a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Enrolled agent status is the highest credential awarded by the IRS. The EA credential is recognized across all 50 U.S. states. Attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs) are licensed on a state by state basis, and are also empowered by the Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
